Senior Director of Instruction

Emily joined the Brilla Network in 2019 as the Seton Teaching Fellows Instructional Coach after a move from Denver to New York. Prior to joining our team, she taught elementary school in Title I settings for over five years and held multiple leadership roles. Emily consistently drove her team’s success in gaining strong content and instructional knowledge, ultimately accelerating student growth and achievement. Through this work, Emily fostered a passion for serving traditionally underserved communities and has dedicated her work to achieving an equitable education system where all students can flourish. Emily has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado Denver, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University. In her free time you will find Emily exploring New York City, reading a book or watching her Michigan State Spartans (Go Green!)
