Seton Teaching Fellow Instructional Coach
Emily Brooks serves as the Seton Teaching Fellows Instructional Coach. Emily joined the Brilla Network in 2019 after a move from Denver to New York. Before joining the Brilla/Seton Team, she taught elementary school in Title I settings for five years, as well as held multiple leadership roles. In these roles, Emily effectively drove her team’s achievement in gaining strong content and instructional knowledge, ultimately accelerating student learning and achievement. It was through her work in these communities that she fostered a deep passion for serving traditionally underserved communities and ensuring that equitable education is provided to all the scholars whom her work impacts. Emily has a master’s degree from the University of Colorado Denver, where she focused her studies on culturally and linguistically diverse education, as well as a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University in elementary education. In her free time, you will find Emily exploring the city, watching Michigan State sports (Go Green!), or spending time with her family and friends.
