Emily joined the Brilla Network in 2019 as the Seton Teaching Fellows Instructional Coach after a move from Denver to New York. Prior to joining our team, she taught elementary school in Title I settings for over five years and held multiple leadership roles. Through this work, Emily fostered a passion for serving traditionally underserved communities and has dedicated her work to achieving an equitable education system where all students can flourish. Emily has a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education from the University of Colorado Denver, as well as a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Michigan State University. In her free time you will find Emily exploring New York City, reading a book or watching her Michigan State Spartans (Go Green!)
