6th grade Science Teacher
Natalie Hermes joined the Brilla team as a Sixth Grade Science Teacher in 2023. She graduated from Auburn University in 2019, where she received a Bachelor of Liberal Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with focuses in Non Profit and Philanthropy, Human Development and Family Studies, and Rural Community Development. Her passion for strengthening communities and working with kids led her to pursue an alternative route into education through joining the Teach For America Charlotte Corps. Ms. Hermes completed her TFA commitment in 2021 and continued to teach middle grades science and then third grade in Charlotte, NC. Ms. Hermes enjoys spending time with her family (especially her nieces and nephew), cooking and sharing a fun meal with others, traveling, and being outside!
