PRINCIPAL

Will Scott joined the Brilla team as Principal in Residence in January of 2022 and became Principal in July 2022. He graduated from Vanderbilt University in 2012 where he received a B.S. in Secondary Education and History. Raised in Macon, Georgia, Will moved to New York in 2014 after spending two years teaching History in Waco, Texas. Mr. Scott spent four years teaching History at Success Academy in Mott Haven where he also received a M.S. in Elementary and Special Education from Touro College. He then transitioned to a Network role where he trained history teachers and wrote history curriculum. After spending two years out of a school setting, Mr. Scott returned as an Instructional Dean at Foundation Academy in Trenton, New Jersey. Mr. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife Sara and their two dogs Milo and Frank. He also enjoys reading, particularly history and philosophy, as well as a great novel. He hopes for his students to fall in love with reading like him and find their purpose in life
