Brilla Caritas Elementary School exists to serve the children and families of the Bronx, School District 10, by providing an academically rigorous and virtue-centered education. We are committed to developing the minds and hearts of our students, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to succeed in college and beyond. Guided by our belief that all children deserve access to an excellent education, we answer the call to serve, time and time again, in communities where high-quality schooling options are most needed.
In August 2020, Brilla Caritas Elementary School opened its doors in the Bronx community of University Heights, starting with three Kindergarten classrooms. As of August 2021, Brilla Caritas serves grades K-1, expanding one grade each year. By 2024, the school will reach full capacity, serving 450 students from Kindergarten through 4th grade, and will then feed into its middle school in the fall of 2025.
Brilla Schools are open to all students, regardless of background or ability. Enrollment is free, and no entrance exams are required. Join us in our mission to provide an exceptional education for the next generation of leaders.
