Elementary Instructional Specialist, STEM
Yael Nurko serves as the Elementary Instructional Specialist (STEM) for the Brilla Schools Network. She joins the team with 10 years of teaching and leadership experience. Throughout her tenure in education, Yael has strived to create equitable learning environments that promote curiosity, love, learning, and whole person development for both students and staff. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and completed a master’s degree in Education Policy and Management from Harvard’s Graduate School of Education.
Yael was born in Mexico, but grew up in Boston. She has a bad case of wanderlust and loves to travel. When staying local, Yael loves to find tasty snacks and restaurants throughout NYC.
