Yes! Our schools are completely free, and so is applying.
We provide your child with all their school supplies and cover the cost of their field trips. Every new student also receives a free uniform shirt. Transportation is free for all those who qualify based on where you live.
If any of our schools receive more applications for a grade than we have seats, we will hold a student lottery. The student lottery for the Bronx schools will be held on April 2, 2025 and are announced live. Applications must be submitted by April 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. PT. Students who are not offered a seat during the lottery will be placed on a waitlist. As families accept or decline their lottery offers, waitlist students are notified of availability. Every child has an equal opportunity to be admitted to Brilla, though there is siblings of students and children of staff receive a slightly higher weight in the lottery.
We compare well! We outperform nearby district schools as well as NY state schools.
Your child needs to be born between 01/01/2020 and 12/31/2020 to apply for kindergarten.
