FIRST GRADE TEACHER

Kiara Chavez joined Brilla Veritas in the Spring of 2018 as a teacher and Character Lead. She has a bachelor’s degree in political science with a minor in education from Binghamton University in Binghamton, NY and is currently in a master’s degree program for Special Education from the Relay Graduate School of Education. She was a Campus Campaign Coordinator for Teach for America, which led her to join the New York TFA Corps in 2017. Born and raised in the Mott Haven area of the Bronx, she lives to impact the lives of all whom she encounters. She loves exercising, dancing, spending time with her dance team and other close friends, as well as movie nights with her family. She also teaches Zumba and Salsa at the Bronx YMCA!
