LEARNING SPECIALIST
Genesis Betancourt joined the Brilla team in 2021 as a teacher. Ms. Betancourt graduated from SUNY Old Westbury with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics, Economics, and Law in 2020. Growing up in the Bronx, Ms. Betancourt grew determined to fight for equity and close the learning gaps found in our communities, thus joining Teach for America Corps 2021. She is currently studying to get her masters degree in teaching. On Ms. Betancourt’s spare time you can find her spending time with her family and dog, cooking, traveling, and taking care of her well being by doing yoga and going on long walks.
