FOUNDING FIRST GRADE TEACHER
Rebecca Ridgeway (formerly Jacobson) joined the Brilla team in 2021 as a first grade teacher. Born in Virginia and raised in Ohio, she moved to New York in 2009 to pursue her B.A. in Media, Culture, and the Arts at The King’s College in New York City. A few years later, she completed her M.E. in Elementary Education at Grand Canyon University. She has worked as a summer school teacher, long-term substitute ENL teacher, substitute teacher, special education teaching assistant, and 1-1 aide. In her free time, Ms. Ridgeway loves to paint, draw, dance, garden, paddleboard, and kayak!
