VISUAL ARTS TEACHER
Matthew Pisacano joined the Brilla team in 2019. He graduated Marymount Manhattan College in 2004, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art and education. Over the following few years, he worked as a paraprofessional and substitute teacher in the Department of Education here in NYC where he developed a passion for special education and its advocacy. In 2012, he earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Pratt Institute in new forms. He began teaching art in the South Bronx in the Fall of 2015 and earned a second master’s degree in early childhood and special education from Touro College. From Queens, NY, Mr. Pisacano loves going out to eat, hanging out with his friends and–of course–making art!
“Art is for anyone, it just isn’t for everyone.”
